Ashley Massaro, better known simply as Ashley (born May 26, 1979 in Babylon, Long Island, New York) is a model and professional wrestler currently working for World Wrestling Entertainment's RAW brand. She is the winner of the 2005 RAW Diva Search.

World Wrestling Entertainment

Ashley Massaro came to the WWE in June 2005 as a contestant in the 2005 RAW Diva Search. After beating the seven other chosen finalists, Massaro was declared the winner on the August 15, 2005 edition of RAW. She won $250,000 and a one year contract with World Wrestling Entertainment.

Massaro made her first WWE appearance as an official Diva on the August 21, 2005 pre-SummerSlam edition of Heat. This featured Ashley conducting interviews with the fans, including WWE Legends Fabulous Moolah and Mae Young. Later that night, Massaro made her first appearance at a pay-per-view event when she joined the other bikini-clad divas in washing Mr. McMahon's presidential limo backstage.

The following night on RAW, WWE Divas Candice Michelle and Torrie Wilson called out Massaro, claiming they wanted to welcome her to RAW. After Massaro came out, Michelle and Wilson turned heel and beat down Ashley. Massaro continued to feud with the two divas who were soon joined by Victoria, Victoria would defeat Massaro in Massaro's first match.

Massaro was later joined by the returning Trish Stratus who helped Massaro fend off attacks from the three divas. The pair would defeat the three divas who became known as the Ladies in Pink (and later Vince's Devils) on several occasions including WWE's 2005 Unforgiven pay-per-view. At the WWE Homecoming, Ashley and Trish Stratus defeated Torrie, Candice, and Victoria in a handicap Bra and Panties match.

Massaro would continue to wrestle matches through the rest of 2005 and was involved in the annual Fulfill Your Fantasy Battle Royal at Taboo Tuesday for her first shot at the WWE Women's Championship. Ashley was able to eliminate Candice Michelle before being eliminated by Victoria.

In December 2005, Ashley took part in the RAW Tribute to the Troops special. This involved RAW superstars travelling to Aghanistan to perform live in front of the armed forces. During the show, Ashley and Trish were defeated by Candice and Maria in a Santa's Helper Diva Tag Team match.

One of Ashley Massaro's biggest wins to date came at WWE New Years Revolution when Massaro was able to win the first ever Bra and Panties Gauntlet match by being the final Diva left still wearing her clothes.

Through the early part of 2006 Massaro would get in the midst of an ongoing feud between Trish Stratus and Mickie James. Siding with Stratus, Massaro became the victim of a series of vicious attacks from a jealous Mickie James. At the Royal Rumble, Mickie defeated Ashley with Stratus as the special guest referee. However, Massaro would get her revenge by pinning James in the rematch on RAW.

During the February 20th, 2006 edition of RAW Ashley Massaro would suffer a fractured left fibula while being eliminated from the women's Battle Royal. Upon further medical consultation, it was decided that because of the spiral crack in her left fibula Massaro would need surgery. She underwent the procedure to have a plate positioned in her leg in March 2006.

During her recovery Massaro would still occasionally appear on RAW as part of the Stratus/James feud, albeit in a non-active role. On one edition of RAW, Ashley (who had been gagged and tied to a chair)was held hostage by Mickie James, who used the Diva Search winner to lure Trish Stratus out to the ring.

On March 22, 2006, Ashley Massaro announced on her MySpace blog that she signed a three year contract extension with WWE.

Ashley's entrance music is Audioslave's Be Yourself. This was also the theme song was used throughout the 2005 RAW Diva Search.

Ashley Massaro has appeared in many publications and events. She has competed in Miss Hawaiian Tropic pageants and held the title of Miss Hawaiian Tropic USA and Miss Hawaiian Tropic Canada and has appeared in FHM, Stuff, Maxim, and on the covers of Femme Fatale and FLEX (magazine).

She was crowned Miss Hawaiian Tropic USA in 2002 and Miss Hawaiian Tropic Canada in August 2004[citation needed]. Massaro has also hosted several E! Channel Wild On! episodes. Massaro also appeared on Breaking Bonaduce as Danny Bonaduce's personal trainer.

Her most recent magazine appearance was the cover for the March 2006 Femme Fatale magazine.

Personal life

Ashley has a Bachelors of Science in Communications at the State University of New York and graduated at the top of her class[citation needed].

Ashley is of Italian/Irish/ and mixed background. Ashley's father, uncle, and brother are all wrestlers. Ashley loves rock music, travelling, motorcycles, and writing. She is bilingual in English and Spanish. Ashley has worked with various charity organizations, including The Box Project and World Vision.

Ashley has three small tattoos of black asian lettering running vertically down her lower back and a small butterfly tattoo on her lower stomach/hip. Ashley has had two additional tattoos since entering the WWE officially; 2 large nautical stars, one just above each elbow. She also has the upperside of her left lip pierced (called a Madonna/Monroe).

Ashley was rumoured to be dating lead singer Wil Francis of Aiden and was in a relationship with Chuck Comeau drummer of Simple Plan for 3 years.

Ashley is dating WWE Superstar, Matt Hardy (sometime after winning the WWE contract). Their relationship was confirmed on the November 9, 2005 edition of the WWE Web Show, Byte This!.

Ashley's favorite bands are The Used and Aiden as confirmed in a recent interview

Ashley has a puppy bred by Matt Hardy's father. She named him Tobey,according to her myspace blog. She has one cat named tigger and one fish named cupid according to her myspace blog
